I am dreaming of plain m&ms in a custard dish. One of the challenge participants is giving up whoppie pies for loose pants - I'm at the point of asking Why?

Skipping Ahead

Today I've asked everyone in the office not to invite me on the Beal's ice cream runs. Actually, this is getting easier. I'm losing weight, not as much as I'd like compared to the hunger pangs, but two pair of pants fit without being tight. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Survival

OK - day 2 - I'm pretty sure I lost 30 pounds yesterday. All factual evidence points to the contrary - but my first day must have had an enormous impact. I had yogurt and blueberries today and it was 5 points. 5 POINTS - this limits what else I can have - panic.

When Elizabeth asked if I'd be interested in joining the program it sounded fun.

I think Elizabeth is a really good sales person.

But, why not - putting yourself out to the world certainly has to be motivational! I took the bull by the horns, got on line and joined my world of points.

The point system is actually kind of fun. You're given an allowance of food on day one. You're not sitting there feeling like you have to starve yourself. There are lots of recipes and some of the food you are able to eat is delicious - like lasagna. Even more motivational are the activity points. The more you exercise the more you can eat.

My weakness is chocolate. I LOVE chocolate. I could eat it in the morning. I've never had trouble eating as much chocolate as I like. Unfortuantely I think age changes your body. It doesn't help that the two people I hang with the most can eat whatever they want whenever they want.
